Ugandan fast dancehall singer and songwriter Kasendwa Richard AKA Ziza Bafana was arrested on by Uganda Police for performing at a show during lockdown at the Ugandan-Tanzania boarder in Mutukula.
Bafana was netted and rested from Horizon hotel at Lwegaba where he was resting after performing at the show that pulled a number of people from both Uganda and Tanzania thereby exposing people to a risk of contracting COVID-19. Bafana who has been off the music scene for sometime is rumoured to have thrilled music hungry revelers at Happiness Motel- Mutukuka, risking a thousands to Coronavirus exposure.
While speaking on phone to Bukedde FM’s Simo Omunene on Monday evening, Bafana revealed that it’s true he was arrested and currently under quarantine. Bafana however revealed that the show wasn’t in Uganda but rather Tanzania where music shows are not prohibited.
Since president Museveni announced total lockdown in March, no Ugandan artiste has been allowed to stage the concert. However, In Tanzania, artistes are wrecking millions from concerts and even politicians are holding massive rallies.
