Chameleon secures his Impounded car back from URA!

2021 Kampala Lord Mayor candidate Joseph Mayanja AKA Jose Chameleone finally secured his monster car back from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).  As we speak, Chameleone managed to settle the case with URA and cruised  the V8 on Tuesday as he moved to Kampala to open his campaign command center. Chameleon further changed the car registration number plate to UBH 013N from its initial South Sudanese nUmber plates.

On Easter Sunday in April, URA customs officers impounded Chameleone’s 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 reg. No. SSD 499B over lack of proper tax documentation. The monster ride was gifted to Chameleon by South Sudanese business lady, Achai Wiir as appreciation for his performance at the her wedding.

In July, URA dragged Chameleone to anti-corruption court accusing him of failure to pay the car’s import duty tax of Shs.137,350,725. Things are starting to move on well for the “Baliwa” singer and we hope all goes well for him in his political ambitions.
