Mazengo passes the ball in a build up from the back

On Friday, KCCA FC ‘s new signing Ashiraf Mugume put up an amazing man of the match performance as the Kasasiro boys put down The Ankole Lions in a game that ended 2-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. The goals came in from the their other new signing and former Vipers man Denis Iguma 37’ and on form young striker Sam Ssenyonjo 52’.

Mbarara City came into this game after losing to SC Villa in Bombo and a draw in that game with URA unlike in those games they were better in the early stages of this game which looked to be an improvement but KCCA ‘s tactician Coach Mike Mutebi tried to put up a team that can dominate the ball in order to have control in that he pulled back Brian Aheebwa into a deeper role to let Sam Ssenyonjo to lead the line on his own.

Victory means KCCA FC remain top of the log with 9 points and 12 goals in 3 games while Mbarara City is 13th on the table with just a point. The Kasasiro boys will return in action on 15th December before the prepare for AS Kigali in the CAF Confederations Cup while Mbarara City FC host the Red Eagles on 16th at Kakyeka Stadium.

Other games that were played on the day include, Onduparaka putting three(3) past MYDA at the at King George IV Memorial Stadium Stadium in Tororo with goals from Nsimbe Ibra×2 for MYDA FC and Kabon Living, Matata Gabriel and Hamis for Onduparaka FC. Kyetume experienced another draw (making it three draws in a row) on the troll as the drew away to Busoga United who had lost their previous game to Bul FC on Matchday 2 with goals from Isma Mugulusi and Musitafa Mujuzi(P).
