The Uganda cubs are going to play their first game tomorrow after the cancellation of their opening game due to the dismissal of their to be opponents on day 1 South Sudan. The game that was meant to take place at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu saw Sudan get eliminated because a total of four players from their camp fail to pass the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging test.
After their elimination from the qualifier tournament, only six teams remain to feature this year. Hosts Rwanda, Djibouti and Tanzania will compete in group B and the top two finishers from each group will move on to the semifinals.
Uganda will now get their tittle defense on track against its rival Kenya on the 16th of December and later face Ethiopia on the 18th of the this month. Both games will be played in the afternoon at 1pm EAT. The Cubs got some outstanding names in the camp like Ibrahim Juma the KCCA skipper, Magogo Shafik who was with the U-15 national team who participated and won the tittle and surprise name in Basil Tenywa Tuma who plays in the United Kingdom for Eton College.
