UGANDA CUBS STUN RIVALS KENYA IN TITTLE DEFENCE.

The Uganda U-17 team have blown away Kenya in a game that was played behind closed doors at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu, Rwanda this afternoon. The Cubs put five past an anticipated strong Kenya side who were all dressed in red though looked so weak in the second half part of the game unlike the first half where they tried to put up abit of a fight. This Uganda U-17 side had four players that took part and won the CECAFA U-15 in Eritrea in the starting 11 in names of Peter Gava, Vincent Mulema, Shuijai Kaliisa and Travis Mutyaba, a positive gesture that shows the game in the country is on the right track.

Onto the game, the U-17 side scored their opening goal in the first half through a Vicent Mulema beauty of a cross that was headed home by Oscar Mawa in the 8th minute and from their till the half time whistle, the game looked to be balanced not until the 46th minute when the KCCA FC Academy player Oscar Mawa added the second and third of the game to complete his hat trick then the Vipers SC young lad Mutyaba Travis and Madoi Ronald the Purple shark in the 78th and 85th minute respectively to seal off the win to make it 3 points for the CUBS.

Now the team awaits their next opponents who are going to be Ethiopia on Friday as the team tries to lead the group onto the semifinals to earn a place in the U-17 African Cup Of Nations that are going to take place in Morocco.
