In the first game of the day the record champions of the Masaza cup, Gomba progressed to the semi- finals past a stubborn Bugerere side.

Into the game, Bugerere started off the game so bright with immerse attacking energy with the influence of their shirt 8 and 9, Shafik and Kiberu Tony respectively who were tiring that Gomba defence on the right hand side which had the Lions captain Ssentongo Abudallah. Later on after a couple of wasted half chances Kiberu Tony got Bugerere’s opening and only goal in the game.
In the second both sides looked blunt as waters from the sky had started falling onto the ground till the tournament top scorer, Bbaale Charles took an in swinger corner that went past the Bugerere goal keeper straight to the net to put the Gomba lions level. And from there it was all Gomba unill they got the second goal in similar fashion after a Bbaale Charles corner that hit the post and came back to Bayo Ali who sealed their victory in the 69th minute.

In the second game if the day, Buddu swept away Mawokota in the closing stages of a game that was played on a wet surface after a heavy pour of rain. This game was so leveled up until the Buddu gaffer made one crucial change by bringing on Ssekayi Farouq who opened the scoring in the 80th minute after a short through ball from Ssematimba Titus and later he( Ssekayi) assisted to seal off their win in the added time. Now after all the quarter final games four teams progress to the semifinals and they include; Busiro who are going to play Gomba and Bulemeezi who are set to battle it out with Buddu.

The final will be played on Saturday, 23
January 2021 with the King of Buganda
