FUFA Big League 2021 (Match Day 7)– Sunday, 25th April 2021:

As the opening round of the 2020-21 Star Times FUFA Big League winds down, there are 8 matches on the menu.
Like for the rest of the match days, there are four games apiece per group (Rwenzori and Elgon).
Two epic derbies will spice up match day 7 in different cities; one in Mbarara and another in Mbale city.
Newly promoted Terrazo and Tiles will face Nyamityobora in the Mbarara derby at Kakyeka stadium as nemesis entities Mbale Heroes and Kataka face off at the Mbale Municipal stadium.
Goalkeeper Peter Otine of Terrazo and Tiles will be expected to command the entire team with authority on a team he is facing arguably one of the league’s sharp players; Clinton Kamugisha, Meddie Matovu, Ivan Ahimibisibwe, Gerald Kimuli and the tireless midfielder Muhammed Sharif Ochaya Kyadinga.
Nyamityobora who are christened as the “Abanyakare” won their previous home 1-0 against visiting Water, thanks to a third minute strike by Kimuli.
In Mbale, an explosive clash is anticipated between two sworn enemy and friendly clubs; Kataka and Mbale Heroes.
Mbale Heroes is still nursing the wounds from the 1-0 home loss to Blacks Power during match day 6.
Heroes will still miss their two suspended players Joel Ayella and Brian Olega. The duo were suspended by the football governing body, FUFA in the involvement to incite violence during Mbale Heroes’ 1-all draw with Arua Hill at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.
Kataka captain Peter Lusimbula and teammates Nandala Swamadur Okullu, Ibrahim Kibumba, Jamaldin Buchochera, Godfrey Lubankene, Alex Akapyo, Faizo Kiberu, Akiramu Munyol, Vincent Owundo, Joel Male, Oluka Okori (Mbale Heroes) are some of the key players expected to light up the derby.
“We are set for the match. From the physical aspect to the mental strength, all the Kataka players are ready to give 100 percent in the game” Lusimbula vowed.
Meanwhile, Gaddafi returns at home with a home contest against newly promoted Calvary at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe, Jinja city.
The Soldiez boys had spent a week in the West Nile region where they played Paidha Black Angels (won 1-0) and drew 1-all with Arua in the subsequent match at the Barifa play ground.
Allan Kabonge’s Paidha Black Angels seek for the first victory when they host Elgon group table leaders Arua Hill at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo district.
Rwenzori group leaders Tooro United made the distant trip to South Western Uganda to face the home side, Kigezi Home Boyz at the Kabale Municipal Stadium.
Edward Golola’s coached side will bank on the prowess of top scorer Marvin Oshaba, Muhammed Bogere, Eric Akol and others against Mark Twinamatisko’s charges.
In the other Rwenzori games; Proline is home against Water at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo and Ndejje University hosts Luwero United at the Arena of Visions.
Three clubs will get promoted to the 2021-22 Uganda Premier League.
Two of these earn direct promotional slots whilst the third makes the grade via a promotional play-off.
This season has been unique with at least one live televised match on a given match day.
